  18.   Here's a happy inversion to the most frequently asked question in Amigadom.

  20.   Indeed, Amigas with HD drives can read diskettes created on either
  21.   AmigaDOS 2.1 and later include CrossDOS, which can read/write/format
  22.   both DSDD and HD floppies (with the appropriate drive).  The commercial
  23.   CrossDOS product has a number of other advantages for those who want to
  24.   use MS-DOS-formatted ZIP disks and hard drive partitions.

  26.   CrossMAC provides the equivalent capability for Mac-formatted HD diskettes,
  27.   Zip disks, and hard drive partitions.  Consultron (the publisher) even
  28.   offers a combination pack of CrossDOS + CrossMac for those who need them.

  30.   The "trick" is finding an Amiga with a working HD diskette drive.  You can
  31.   NOT simply install a PC-clone drive and expect it to work; the Chinon 357A
  32.   is a special Amiga version that spins at half speed in HD mode due to a
  33.   throughput limitation in the Amiga's Paula chip.  Dell sells an external
  34.   HD floppy unit that I presume uses a standard drive with a track-sized
  35.   buffer to match data transfer speeds with the Amiga.
